The History of First Baptist Church, Hallettsville
In the summer of 1851, the First Baptist Church, Hallettsville, was organized by a group of pioneers.
The church grew to 100 members by 1866 with a fully organized program of religious education for all ages. In 1884 the first permanent church building was erected.
The present church was built in 1964 and the church has increased from it's small beginnings of 14 original members to 240 members.
The history of the First Baptist Church is evidence of the many blessings of God upon the faithfulness of His people. The future of our church is challenging and bright!
